Attorney Howard D. Crane grew up in Hillsborough, New Jersey, and graduated from Hillsborough High School and Rider College. Following college, he entered the Marine Corps, first as a logistics officer and then as a legal officer. While in the Marines, he earned a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.).
Mr. Crane became a licensed lawyer in 1988, following law school at the University of San Diego. He practiced in California for approximately six years before returning to New Jersey in 1992.
While in California, Mr. Crane worked for insurance defense firms learning the procedures, techniques, tactics, strategies, and defenses employed by insurance carriers who defend against personal injury and medical malpractice claims.
Mr. Crane continued his defense work when he returned to New Jersey in 1992. In 1996 he became a partner with Richard Koerner, Esq. forming Koerner & Crane. Mr. Koerner has since retired.
